Jewish Wedding Songs

The highlight of any Jewish Wedding party has to be the Jewish Wedding Songs and Jewish Dancing! It is typical to include a section of traditional Hebrew music and dancing known as the ‘Hora’. This comprises a medley of popular tunes where guests join hands to perform an Israeli circle dance.

Jewish Weddings are known for their dancing. If there’s one thing that most non-Jewish guests know about a Jewish wedding, it’s that someone is going to be lifted on a chair and there’s going to be some sweaty dancing.  A few strong and brave guests hoist the bride and groom high above the crowd on chairs to the infectious sounds of “Hava Nagila” and other tunes.

The men will then dance separately to the women and it is traditional for the close family to be dancing away in the middle of the circle.  The Jewish Wedding songs are often the highlight of the party and spark joyous scenes.
